I went to the Ellis Island website and found pictures of the ships
that my relatives sailed on to arrive at Ellis Island.

Here is an extensive listing of websites to help you find
arrival records of your ancestors:

I am still trying to find the records for my Great Grandparents
Giovanni Tammone and Carmella Sarli and my Grandmother
Flora Matilda Tammone. After they arrived here their name
was changed from Tammone to Tambone.

My father's father, my paternal grandfather, Ralph (Raffaele) Geraldo Rose
came here when he was  22 years old in 1909.  Before he made the long
journey to his new home, he lived in San Fili, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy.

The ship was called Europa and his Port of Departure was Napoli and his
arrival date was October 26th, 1909.

When my grandfather's brother, Victor (Vittorio) Rose got older he packed up his
bags and joined his brother here in the Promised Land, 12 years later in 1921.
When he got here, he followed in his brother's footsteps and married one of the
Tambone sisters.  Her name was Rose, so when she married Vittorio her name
became Rose Rose. :-)

His ship was called the San Giovanni and he left from the same port. Napoli.
